When I'm warm in my bed

Pictures going through my head

I see him

In his black shirt Sleeves pushed above his elbows

And a smile on his lips

When I'm cold

I do what I'm told

But I imagine his warm hold

And I sigh

How many things will I have to try

How many times will I have to cry

Till he's mine

Will I have to bind him to me with twine

Or will he come on his own

Or will it only be a loan

Only a tiny glimpse of his soul

Will he come to me whole

Long have I missed you

Each moment I wait
